Teaching

👨‍🎓 From the very beginning I envisioned "Think. Define. Choose. How 21 Stories Shaped Life in Nebraska"as a resource for education. Through the lens of Nebraska’s State Capitol, the book explores the principles that shape “The Good Life” and invites readers to reflect on the power of civic engagement.

That’s why I’m especially grateful and happy to Civic Nebraska and Audrey Nance for incorporating it into their work with students and educators. This book is designed to enrich both classrooms and civic education programs in many ways:

🌟 By exploring the Capitol's design and the embodiment of "The Good Life," the book encourages fostering community engagement and civic health. The 21 panels offer a compelling vision of what a strong civic life can look like.

🌎 The 21 Panels are a world of stories that will inspire thoughts and talks on civic responsibility, beauty and the importance of thoughtful design in public spaces.

🏫 The book functions as a guide for educators. A dedicated chapter provides teachers with practical thoughts and ideas for teaching human rights, making it easy to integrate these important lessons into their curriculum.

🌲 Whether in schools or beyond, "Think. Define. Choose." is a meaningful resource for helping young people connect with Nebraska’s rich civic heritage.
